What is the best wireless router for a split level house?
After moving my grandpa's slightly older but underused Dell desktop, I need to purchase a wireless router to hook up the modem to my other Dell computer on the den floor to receive the internet through the wireless router to my bedroom on the second floors. Which wireless routers are best?

Linksys makes good quality routers. Try this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833124285
This is one thing you need to consider when on wireless: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A88XB7_Jz7s
The best wireless router is one that has a WPA2 passphrase properly configured.
If you don’t know how to setup security properly, I suggest a different option. Check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9KWdOLgylg
